Hi Everyone!

I know that you said that there would be a lot of ups and downs. I am just trying to do my best like you said and try harder and harder every day.

On the bright side we got to see the baptism of Walter and Mariana after a lot of time and they are so awesome really an amazing family and they have been through their ups and downs and have overcome these things. We are so happy for them for their marriage and their baptism.

There are a lot of good things happening. We have the baptism of Pablo coming up next, and we are very excited for this it should be great.

Right now we need to find new people and I have a great desire to work hard in contacting lots of people.

I have to express my feelings because I know that Satanas is trying hard to get me discouraged... and I just want to love the people and enjoy the mission so I will try to do all that I can to stay positive and keep studying the scriptures.

I love you guys a lot, I cannot lie this time is a bit challenging. I know that I can do better and help others. It is essential that I stay happy and bring out the sense of humor inside or else I will not help anybody. I know that my Father In Heaven loves me. I know that good days are to come, because the future is as bright as your Faith!!

I love you guys so much What ever challenges you may be facing know that you can not only survive but you can thrive!! Always remember that Jesu Cristo knows how you feel, and suffered for you because he loves you.

Time will be even better this week. I know it!! I will be fasting for help and guidance tomorrow!

Until next week!! :)

Este Semana

This week we found a couple of new people that could be potential chosen investigators! First of all, we had Pablo who is 11 years old (like Brennen) and is awesome!! He is also, like brennen, really smart!! We are teaching him with his aunt who is a recent convert!! and she is helping a lot!

Next we have Walter and Mariana who are awesome! They are a young couple who have both had rough lives, but are awesome. They have been making a lot of amazing changes in their lives and now they are going to get married and be baptized!! They have two little boys one is turning 2 today and the other is turning 3 next Tuesday!

After that we are still teaching a couple Hebe y Rafael, Rafael is 25 and Hebe is around 50. It is a little bit interesting, but they say that they really care for each other... some of the time and other times it seems like they have problems cause Rafael is a man of few words. They need to either get married or separate, to be baptized and It looks like they will be submitting papers to be married. So I will keep you updated on that!

Next we are teaching 2 girls Dañela and Eliana and they were actually dating for 3 years, but we taught the the law of chastity and we told the that they should pray about it! Also Dañela especially has a testimony of el Libro de Mormón. So this will be a test of there testimony. Despite everything they were actually progressing a little. But I will let you know what happens!

Thanks for all of your love and support I am so happy for the time here I have to represent the Lord and to work in His vineyard!!

Until next week…

Love,

Elder Sandberg

Jujuy!

I am really sorry about not writing last week. It pained me, but we could not find a cyber that was not filled last Monday. I wanted to write you so bad!!! I always feel inspired by your letters!!

To conclude about last the last translado(transfer)… it was amazing! Elder Philpot will always be my friend and example!! I feel Like I have grown so much with his example for me!!

Now I am out of small town Pichanal and into the big city of Jujuy!!!!! :) I am super excited for my area and I know that we will have a lot of success! I am so excited to see what I can give to the people here!!

I want to say how much I love you guys and how much you guys are my ejemplos(examples). This week I am still reading about the missionary work and the sons of Mosiah. What great examples they are of men who were OBEDIENT AND DILIGENT. I am working hard to develop these attributes of Christ!

And It looks like this translado (transfer) will be a trying one. Despite this I am inspired by my God. I know that I need to love and help my companion because the missionary work can’t be done solo!!  I will pray and fast for him and try to get him excited to go out and serve with total diligencia (diligence)!

I love you all and I am thankful for all of your prayers for me! I am thankful for this gospel I will pray for you all I know that my God is with me!!

I will update you later with more information about my amazing time that I have been having!

Love you,

Elder Sandberg

And Kaden, A tip for you Is try imagining that your Father in Heaven is right in front of you. Reading the scriptures everyday will also help and meditating about the answers. Read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it Is true! I love you so much Kaden words cannot describe!! (This was a response to Kaden asking how he could make his prayers more meaningful)

Let there be a wedding! February 2nd's Message

¿Hola como estáis vosotros? To answer your questions Mom about if people think we look alike, yes there are some people that ask if we are brothers. And yes I have an accent and also my grammar is not that good at times. My compañion can speak very well and people always say ok your companion’s grammar is good but you “falt” a little bit. (Faltar is the Spanish verb meaning to lack. Falt is the americanized missionary slang meaning to lack or lacking) But that doesn’t bother me because I know that in time I will study and master the language. I am praying for the gift of tongues everyday!

It sounds like everything at home is going well!! I am doing well out here just always trying to improve and to be more focused in the work!! I know that the difficult times will pass. I am trying to pray and trust in the Lord to guide me and at the same time take responsabilidad. Also I am trying to learn how to let go and have fun more.

I am not going to lie today I am pretty tired and I feel a little bit mas o menos. But I know the Lord will help me through these times.

But this week was really good. We had lots of miracles happen and for this I am very grateful. Including a family who is very prepared we love them lots and this week they were able to get married so now they can be baptized!!

I love you so much Mom and Dad I hope you guys have the best week!

Pichanal in the rain

Hello how are you guys doing? What Awesome and exciting things are you up to? To start this Email I want to reply to the questions of my Dad and Kaden. I´ll start with dad. I like your idea about sharing a scriptural story about young men who were called on at a young age! Also in Predicad Mi Evangelio (Preach My Gospel) it talks about extending promises in chapter 11. Remember to read that if you get a chance. Some of the most powerful things you can do to invite the spirit are bearing testimony, sharing a personal experience, or promising blessings, or sharing your personal love for God and them.

For Kaden the thing I would advise for you is to read in Preach My Gospel about the Christlike attribute of diligence and also humildad(humility). I know that these will have an impact on you and if you apply these things in your life it will help you be more proactive with your time and also it will help you enjoy your time more.

To end this letter I want to tell you about the success we had this week, first of all we had the opportunity to do a service project for a woman named Aldana. We helped waterproof her wooden house. We had many investigators in the church this week, including brother Pedro Dias and a bright and excited Raul and his soon to be wife and their three kids.

We had many good things happen as we felt satan working hard to discourage us in the difficult times. But in the end we continued and had a lot of success. I know that next week there is more success to be had!!

As we remember that we show our love to the Lord by keeping His commandments and also making good decisions and being thankful for what we have, the Lord will support us and help us to focus on others and to work our hardest!

I love you guys so much! I hope you all can feel my love but more importantly that of the Savior and His atoning sacrifice.

Until the next week,

Elder Sandberg :)

Hola mis amados amigos y familia

I am the happiest I have ever been in my life!!!!!! I really don't even know where to start!! Elder Philpot is a stud!!  We get along really well, and I am excited for this week!! I am going to start taking more photos now!

This week we saw the hand of the Lord in our work "A Full" First with a familia who are called Del Zotto, its Raul, Mirian and their 3 children!! Raul and his family are so prepared for this message. He has already accepted a date to be baptized!! We had a lesson and the spirit was amazingly strong!! They all comprehend really well the lessons and concepts and are applying our teachings in their lives!! We also met a man whose name is Pedro Dias and he accepted a date of baptism also!!! As far as the work goes in this area we are trying our hardest to be obedientes and diligent and work will all of our mind soul and strength. rain or shine!!

This week it rained a crazy amount! The roads were rivers!! We found some gumboots and we started to walk and visit houses it was very fun! We walk fast, work hard, and come home exhausted, but we are having a good time!!

Also we have this awesome member who is called Miguel he is about 50 years old but has the mentality of someone who has 8 years. He asked me the other week if it snows in the United States like it does in Narnia!

I love you guys and I hope that this week was an awesome week for you!
I cant wait to hear more from your lives it brings me joy to hear from you!!
Thank you for all of your encouragement!! If there is anything you want to know send me an email and I will try to include it in my weekly letter!! :)

Aloha!

Hi guys, I just want to say how grateful I am for the opportunity I have had to know you guys and also that I have had in the mission. I feel like my Father in Heaven really has helped me all the way!! I know that he really answers our prayers when we pray with Faith, but to have Faith is to act with total diligencia also.

Today my Portainio companion de Buenos Aires went home at 4 in the morning and now I am with Elder Philpot from Arizona. We get along great and we both have great desires to serve the Lord and to work with total diligencia! He also has really good study ethics so I am excited to learn from him! He has 8 months in the mission. We are Ready to have an amazing translado! (transfer)

I am so grateful for the gift of agency, and the power to learn how to work with the Spirit and the Lord!! I know that The Spirit is the key to missionary work without the spirit we are just a bunch of young men who don't know how to speak Castellano!

I am grateful for your inspiring stories of your lives and all that is happening. I tell you guys this particularly because I can see that you are all involved in worth while things and It makes me happy to know that all is going well!!

I am short on time today the internet was really slow. but I want to say thanks you guys and I am looking forward to next week when I can let you know even more!!

Have the best week,

Elder Sandberg
