January 25, 2016

This week has been a week of learning and of feeling the Spirit and following His impressions. We had a world wide training Wednesday and a conference with Elder Kronoselskey. It was amazing we felt the Spirit a lot and we were able to learn and to laugh also because he and his wife are very funny and spiritual. :)

I want to let you know that I am very happy as a missionary and that I am loving talking to people and serving the people here. We have be finding a lot of people to serve and a lot of opportunities to share the gospel with the people!! :)

This week we have been having a great time and have been having a lot of great experiences. And this week Mario is going to get baptized. We are so excited for him he is great and has overcome a lot of difficulties!! :)

In other great news today I got to eat some great food from Ecuador (my companion is a great cook :) and I’m getting a lot better in futbal and feeling my Spanish blood coming out!! :) We are organizing the apartment and trying to keep it spick and clean.

Some good but funny news is that we had a great family home evening with some members who are bodybuilders and a they are girls!!! When we arrived we wished we had brought long sleeves because they are more buff than we are. They have won competitions in Europe and in South America, but we did have a very great lesson!! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful week!! :)

This week went well I was able to work with my "son" in the mission Elder Alava, We were able to accomplish a lot, although we had one investigator who said that she was afraid of what her family would say and so she said that this would be the last meeting with her. We testified of the truth of the gospel and we invited her to pray about the Book of Mormon so that she could see for herself that all that we are sharing with her is true!! She is really great and we hope that she really does pray!! :)

About the backpack sister Chaparro said that backpacks in the mission are usually not preferable they always tell the missionaries to have a bag like I have instead of a backpack. But she talked about how there are some bags that have a strap for the waist so I´m not sure how that works but if you found one that would be great!! I’m not sure there are a lot of people who have backpacks but she said that the standard is to have a bag!

I really actually feel comfortable with the bag I have for now I adjusted it so that it is a lot better!! I will let you know if it starts to bug me another time!!  How does that sound?

And I am so happy that you guys are going to start the challenge. I know that it will bless your lives!! :) This week I was able to read a lot about Abinadi and King Noah, and I like this story a lot  because it show the courage that Abinadi had to stand up to the king and even be a martyr for what he believed in. It’s a little like our lives we can be like Abinadi and always stand up for what we believe in!

I loved hearing the story about how dad could share the gospel I think that its so great and It made me really happy!! :)

This week we were walking through a park and some people yelled “Hey Elders”, and we went to talk to them. It turned out to be an awesome family that was just enjoying some time together they were not members and had a lot of questions about who we were and why we are here. We happily replied and explained about what we believe and why we are here. This week we will have the opportunity to visit them.

We also had a great experience when I felt the spirit strongly and knocked on a door and found a great family.

Love you guys so much keep on being awesome!! :)

Have a Great week

Hasta la Proxima!! :)

December 28, 2015

Thanks for everything. I really enjoyed talking to you guys and seeing your faces!! I know that you are all doing so well with your lives and It makes me happy to hear that my brothers, and my cousins are preparing to serve missions.

Something that I have been learning in the mission is the importance of consecrating all of our time, energy and might, mind and strength. In Alma 4 it talks about how we gave up his judicial seat or you could say, his work and his hobbies, his comfort, and he went to share the gospel!!! When we are consecrated we don´t think about what others would think about us, we care about what God thinks of us!!!

Now, we don’t even have to be in the mission to consecrate our selves. This week I learned while reading the Book of Mormon that God wants to gather his people and he will do it through his servants!!

Love you

Well this week has been awesome we have had a lot of success with my "mini" companion Hermano Copa. He is awesome and is teaching me a lot of amazing things. The thought of this week I would like you to think about is the statement that God works with our desires!! I know that this is the truth and that we and accomplish many amazing thing when we have desires to do good!! like it says in D&C 4:3!!

I Hope you all have a wonderful week!! and I will be giving you more updates on the work  The next week!!

I love you guys so much and want you to know that this work is the Best!! :)

I don’t know if you sent me a weekly letter but things have been really crazy from here in Salta with a lot of changes!! First of all we had Elder Scott visit us here in Salta and It was amazing he talked about many things that inspired us and bore testimony of the Savior. It was amazing!!:)

Second Élder Jenson was sent to another area that needed him, and now I am with a MINI Missionary. He is 21 and is preparing to serve a mission. His story inspires me he comes from a very humble situation. He is the only member of his family and only has been a member for less then a year. Also he lives with his brothers because his mom recently died and he does not have a dad!! He is a grand person and I thank God because I can serve with him and love him!! I Hope I can inspire him, although he has plenty of inspiration and energy!! :)

Third, we are teaching a woman named Alicia, and she is progressing. We hope she will find her way to the waters of baptism soon.. :)

With all of the love and contentment.
